Manny Pacquiao (PACMAN) denies statement on gay marriage

In a one interview of National Conservative Examiner (Examiner.com), straightly says Pacquiao rejects Obama’s new twist on the Scripture. But Manny Pacquio, the legendary boxing champ, denies the statement that he didn’t say anything about Leviticus 20:13. Leviticus 20:13 states “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

Here’s the statement of Pacquiao on his phone interview on Bandila:

Pacman: “Di ko sinabi yan. In fact, hindi ko alam yung verse dyan sa Leviticus. Hindi pa ako nabasa ng Leviticus. (I didn’t say that, in fact I didn’t know that verse in Leviticus. I haven’t read Leviticus)

Dyan Castillejo : Linawin ko lang, hindi ka nagquote ng verse na Leviticus 20:13 sa interview mo? (I just want to make it clear; you haven’t quoted a verse in Leviticus 20:13 in your interview in Examiner.com?)

Pacman: Hindi ako nagsabi. Kasinungalingan yan. (It’s a lie!)

Examiner.com Grandville Ampong admitted that he is the one who wrote that. He affirms that the statement came from him not on Pacquiao’s side. On the side of Ampong, he stated that “Nowhere in my supposition and integration of my interview with Pacquiao did I mention that Pacquiao recited this Leviticus 20:13… I have simply reminded in my column how God made it clear in the Old Testament time that such practice of same-s3x marriage is detestable and strictly forbidden.”

Still Pacman stands that he is against same s3x marriage because he believes that it is against God’s law. He mentioned that he is not actually against gays because he had a gay cousin. What he didn’t want is same s3x marriage! He also confirmed that he has an interview with Mario Lopez in Hollywood Entertainment show, “Extra”, today.

This comment of Pacquiao becomes trending in Twitter and even in social networking sites.

Result of his statement against same s3x marriage includes banned from Grove Shopping Mall and a report on petition to drop Nike brand as endorser.

For you what is your standing on this issue?
