“The Healing” gets rated ‘A’ from Cinema Evaluation Board

“The Healing” which stars Governor Vilma Santos - Recto got rated ‘A’ being the highest rating given by the Cinema Evaluation Board. This coincide the red fashion and style attire of the full cast of the mentioned movie.

Rated ‘A’ means

Cinema Evaluation Board has the role for reviewing and check the film quality before the release in theaters for public viewing.  Once a film got the highest grade like ‘Rate A’, it means that it entitled to amusement tax reward that commensurate with the amusement tax levied on and collected from the film as declared in Republic Act (RA) 7160, sections 141 and 150. See full regulations and policy here. Moreover it also qualifies for a hundred percent (100%) of the tax collection on amusement.


“We got rated A!”, as commented by Governor Vilma and at the same time celebrating her 50th anniversary in Showbiz.

 “A different role, a different story, tapos mga kasama ko dito Ate V., and hindi siya love story, hindi sya “tweetums”, said Kim on TV Patrol interview.

Meanwhile, management of ABS-CBN such as Charo Santos and Malou Santos showed their support on the movie premiere night.

“The Healing” is directed by Chito S. Roño. It stars Vilma Santos, Kim Chiu, Janice de Belen, Pokwang, Martin del Rosario and Rober Arevalo. Supporting roles are Carmi Martin, Mark Gil, Cris Villanueva, Ynez Veneracion, Abby Bautista, Ces Quesada, Daria Ramirez, Chinggoy Alonzo,  Mon Confiado, and Simon Ibarra with special participation of Ana Capri, Ina Feleo, Mercedes Cabral, Jhong Hilario, and Joel Torre.

This suspense horror movie is currently showing (July 25, 2012) over 100 theaters nationwide with two controversial versions of PG-13 and R-18. Here’s more, international screening dates will be available on July 27 up to August 24, 2012 on Guam, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, Las Vegas, San Diego, Seattle, New Jersey, Houston, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain, and Vancouver in Canada.
